Costa Ricafs Climate

Costa Rica is a very tropical country and has several climatic zones.

Costa Rica has no winters or summers, but there is a very heavy rainy season between May and November. Costa Ricafs coastal plains tend to be hot throughout the year. Costa Ricafs basin area, or the Meseta Central, has a moderate climate. And higher elevations in Costa Ricafs mountains are much cooler.

Costa Ricafs rainfall can average up to 100h nationwide. Costa Ricafs greatest rainfall is in the mountains. Annual precipitation on Costa Ricafs coastal regions average 120-140 inches. And Costa Ricafs Meseta Central and the northwest region can receive 60-80 inches between May and October. December thru April is Costa Ricafs dry season.

Costa Rica has a cold tundra volcanic region and also has an exotic forest. Costa Ricafs Talamanca area has a dense jungle, while Guanacaste has white-sand beaches.

Overall, Costa Ricafs climate is very mild. And, as other Tropical countries like Costa Rica, the seasonal changes are not very drastic.
